In Science, Year 2 have been turning everyday materials into something extraordinary!!
We have had so much fun exploring and investigating ways to change materials and have learned a lot about their properties.
We have made changes to the materials without changing their composition.
We have folded, bent, twisted, scrunched and cut materials to create amazing sculptures.
Here are just a few of our masterpieces.
Material Madness in 1C
This term’s Science focus has been changing materials to suit a purpose. Over the last few weeks students have been experimenting with materials to create a floating lily pad that can hold marbles. Students have had fun investigating why some things sink or float and how to successfully change a material to meet the requirements of an object that floats. Here are some of their wonderful creations!
