Navigating Screen Time Wisely
Managing children's screen time is a common concern for parents. The eSafety Commissioner recommends staying engaged with your child's online activities and encouraging a balance between screen use and offline pursuits.
Creating a family plan that includes agreed-upon time limits and device-free zones, such as during meals or before bedtime, can promote healthier habits. Parental controls are useful tools to monitor and limit online content, but open communication about their use is essential. Modelling good screen practices yourself sets a positive example for your child.
