Welcome to Term 2!

We are very pleased to be able to offer our Prep parents the opportunity to participate in some workshops here at school on Monday, 28th April and Wednesday, 30th April (same workshop) to help you develop a comprehensive understanding of how to help develop your child’s reading skills at home. These sessions will be held in the J Block STEAM room. Please speak with your child’s teacher if you would like additional information about these sessions.

Additionally this term, parents of Prep students can consent to their child participating in the hearing screener, conducted at school by ‘Hear and Say - Hear to learn (School Screening Program)’. Please use the link below to register your child by Sunday 4 May. The cost is $29.50 per child. Parents will be invoiced. Please be advised that permission must be received by the due date and cannot be consented to on the day of the screening.

Winter Uniforms

As the mornings are getting cooler, it is time to get out our winter wear. It is important that all items are clearly named, and that our winter wear complies with our school uniform and appearance policy.

Any jumper, jacket or tracksuit needs to be royal blue only. If you choose not to purchase the Indooroopilly State School branded winter wear from the uniform shop, then please ensure your royal blue winter wear is plain – no visible brands, logos or motifs.

If your child wishes to wear leggings or tights, they may do so under their uniform only; not as an alternative to their shorts or tracksuit pants. Leggings and tights are to be white or navy blue only.

A reminder also that decorative jewellery such as rings, necklaces, friendship bracelets should not be worn to school.
