Welcome Back
The three day week has given us a lovely, albeit busy return to school. Students have settled quickly and teachers have focussed on reminding children about routines and transitions to help set up quality learning environments. Following on from Parent Teacher interviews at the end of Term 1, students will receive report cards at the end of Term 2. Please be mindful of holiday requests as any absence can potentially impact your child’s academic achievement and overall ratings. We hope the term is a very successful one for all.
Taringa Pde STOP DROP GO
Beginning on Monday, the STOP DROP GO area on Taringa Pde will be closed for afternoon access until 3pm for pick up. This is to prevent the clogging up of the zone and promote the opportunity for cars and students to move more quickly, preventing overflow onto Moggill Rd. I encourage you to talk to your children about moving promptly to the zone and time your run according to how fast they can arrive there, especially if they are coming from the bottom part of the school.
Learning Asset - Communicator
This term we will be focussing on Communicator as the learning asset. This aligns with our focus on building our student’s oral language skills. Being intentional and thoughtful about communicating orally and in writing are important skills for children to be able to achieve well as learners.
