Dear Parents,
I trust that the school holidays provided a short break or at least a change for you. The children all arrived back at school with smiles on their faces and have settled into class beautifully.
As usual, there is plenty ahead of us this term. I will quickly outline some of the highlights over the next few weeks. Further information is in this newsletter.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Meetings with teachers commence from Week 3, July 28. Parents will be sent a link via email to book a time with their child’s teacher/s. This is a great opportunity to gain a face-to-face report from the teacher. These interviews can give a valuable insight into the progress of your child.
School Photos
Photos have been sent home this week with students who ordered them. Any concerns about the photos should be directed to MSP photography, 3865 4291.
NAPLAN Reports
Reports on students’ achievement in the NAPLAN tests for Years 3 and 5 have also been sent home with your child this week. Indooroopilly State School’s overall report shows that learning is significantly above the national average in all areas. Members of the Indooroopilly State School community have much of which to be proud.
Pyjama Day
On Friday of Week 2 students may wear their pyjamas to school. We ask that they donate a gold coin (if you can find one in our modern society) which will be donated in turn to The Pyjama Foundation which supports children in care.
School Opinion Survey
In a couple of weeks, you will be sent a link requesting that you complete a survey about our school. The School Opinion Survey gives parents an opportunity to have voice on their level of satisfaction with the offerings of the school. Please look out for the email and take the time to complete this survey.
P and C Meeting
The next meeting will be held online on TEAMs on Monday July 28 commencing at 6:00pm
