Year 4
This term students in Year 4 are learning about forces and the effect they have on objects in and around the classroom. Last week, students in 4A made a parachute and tested it to investigate the forces applied to the parachute as it was launched off the landing at Block C. Below are a few photos of the experiment and their scientific diagrams.

Year 5
This term, Year 5 students have been learning how to calculate perimeter and area. To bring our learning to life, we took our math lessons outside. Using measurement tools, students explored a range of shapes on the courts.
They were challenged to calculate the perimeter and area of both regular and irregular shapes, some of which didn’t follow the usual rules. These unusual shapes sparked great discussions and critical thinking as students applied their understanding in creative ways.
Students worked in collaboration to problem solve, using their mathematical thinking to tackle each challenge with enthusiasm and persistence.
